The WRC Legal Aid Program is dedicated to promoting justice, expanding access to legal services, and providing law-related education to underserved communities. Our program consists of four core components:

- Tenant/Landlord Legal Support
- Pro Se Legal Packets
- Community Legal Education & Advocacy
This initiative delivers affordable legal support to women with limited financial resources, ensuring they are not left to navigate challenging family law and housing disputes without professional guidance.
Why It Matters
Approximately 98% of WRC clients fall within low to extremely low-income brackets. For these individuals, the Legal Aid Program is often the only accessible path to legal support. By increasing access to affordable legal services and educational resources, the program not only supports vulnerable residents of La Plata County but also eases the pro bono burden placed on local law firms.
