Get Your Girl Power: Building Confidence, Resilience & Leadership
Get Your Girl Power (GYGP) is a one-day conference that empowers elementary school girls in La Plata County to take charge of their futures. Through hands-on workshops and mentoring from female professionals and peers, girls explore key life skills in advocacy, healthy relationships, and positive self-image. Designed to align with Colorado Health Standards, sessions include topics such as healthy living, stress management, communication, self-confidence, and the power of staying in school.
Girls gain practical tools to navigate the challenges that can derail their education—learning how to stand up to bullying, embrace diversity, build strong relationships, and become leaders in their communities.
By connecting with real women leaders and each other, participants leave GYGP knowing that strength, success, and self-worth are already within them.
When girls discover their power, they become unstoppable.
