Resource & Referral: A Lifeline to Stability and Self-Sufficiency
The Resource & Referral (R&R) program is the heart of the Women’s Resource Center, serving as the foundation for all we do. Each year, R&R supports over 1,300 financially disadvantaged La Plata County residents by connecting them to vital community resources that help overcome personal, financial, and emotional barriers to success.
Through compassionate case management, individualized action plans, and mentorship, clients receive the tools they need to prevent homelessness, secure employment, and build paths toward long-term stability. R&R also provides access to office space, phones, and computers for job searching, business needs, and legal matters—removing critical obstacles that stand in the way of self-sufficiency.
Whether it’s securing housing, finding a job, or simply being heard, R&R is often the first step toward lasting change.
With the right support, every person has the power to rebuild, rise, and thrive.
